What is Poké?
Poké is a famous raw fish salad in Hawaiian cuisine. The word “poké” means “to slice”. The traditional Hawaiian poké consists of gutted, skinned, deboned, and sliced fish then served with seaweed, limu, candlenut, and sea salt.
Now, poké has become one of the trendiest dishes that many Americans enjoy. The modern poké bowl features cubed raw “ahi” or yellowfin tuna with rice, vegetables, soy sauce, and wasabi.
